Another week, another Wednesday where we get to celebrate one of our favorite events here at CC Design with our continuing series, #WeddingWednesday.
With today being the last day of August and Labor Day practically knocking on our doors, it’s easy to be slightly sad that summer is reaching its end. Although backyard BBQs, weekends on the beach, and lazy days lounging in the sun maybe on their way out, we have autumn and all its charms to look forward to!
Often overlooked or passed up for spring or summer nuptials, autumn weddings are a great opportunity for incorporating rich materials, textures, and colors into your event décor and theme.
Luxe materials like velvet, sumptuous seasonal flowers like Dahlias and Marigolds, and rich natural elements like reclaimed wood all make autumn weddings a feast for the eyes and senses!
CC Design loves working with reclaimed wood. Not only is reclaimed wood an easy way to sneak in your “something old” into your wedding, it is also a great way to lend character to your event décor, especially if you are going for a vintage or rustic wedding vibe.
Reclaimed wood refers to lumber salvaged from its original place of application for re-use and re-purposing. Most reclaimed wood comes from old barns, ships, factories, warehouses, and even less traditional sources such as wine barrels and wagons. Since it has already been processed and is promoting the recycling and repurposing of used lumber, reclaimed wood is considered eco-friendly.
